Steps to install GPL 67, the 65 mod, Gem+ and Igor

1. Install GPL.
2. After the installation patch your GPL with the GPL 1.2 patch.
You can get it here (just choose the right language version): http://www.bhmotorsports.com/GPL/downloads/614

3. Download the GPL Direct 3D Patch (http://www.bhmotorsports.com/GPL/downloads/614) and install it.
4. Download the GPL OpenGL File (http://adc.speedgeezers.com/Files/GPL/Basics/rastogl.zip) and extract it.
Copy the rastOGL.DLL into your Sierra\GPL directory (or where ever your GPL.EXE is located )
5. Download the GPL Disconnect Fix (http://www.bhmotorsports.com/GPL/downloads/614), extract it and copy the extracted gpldiscofix.exe to your GPL directory and execute it.
6. Download the GPL Cpu Speed Fix (http://www.bhmotorsports.com/GPL/downloads/614) and install it.
7. Download this core.ini ( http://adc.speedgeezers.com/Files/GPL/Basics/core.ini )and save it in your GPL directory.

Now it's time to start GPL for the first time and create a new player, assign a driver name (something like Bernd Nowak67), calibrate your wheel/pedals and choose the graphic
driver like Direct3D7 or OpenGL.
After you have selected the Graphic driver you have to quit GPL and restart it.
After the restart check the resolution settings (Options/Graphics) and check the sound&gameplay settings (Options/sound&gameplay) and make sure that you disable the automatic gear, braking and accelaration assistance.

Now choose a track and see if you can leave the pits. If you can quit GPL and make a copy of the GPL.EXE and name it StandardGPL.exe.

Now we move up further.

1. Download the BWPATCH here http://www.xs4all.nl/~westrab/bwpatch.zip and extract it. Copy the bwpatch.exe to your GPL directory and start it.
Choose option 1 and then hit x to exit.
2. Download the GPLEA Soundpack. You can get it here: http://www.kotr.de/GPL/ . Select the menu entry Sounds in the left menu. Then download the GPLEA Engine Sound Pack v5.0 and the Carsound.
Extract the GPLEA Engine Sound Pack v5.0 and copy the 8 files to your GPL\SOUND directory.
Extract the CARSOUND.ZIP and start the carsound.exe file. Adjust the default path (C:\Sierra\GPL) and let it extract the files to your GPL directory. Then start carsound.exe in your GPL directory.
You're done
3. Download and install Pribluda (http://rugpl.simulators.ru/cgi-bin/view.cgi?docs/34418210503). Extract the files and copy them to your GPL directory.
Start the patch.com file in the GPL directory.

4. Install the TeamFix. This program changes the Musamara => Honda and the Coventry => Cooper.
Download here: http://adc.speedgeezers.com/Files/GPL/Basics/TeamFix.exe and save in your C:\Sierra\GPL folder. Start it and test GPL after it
5. Some graphic updates
Now it's time to install the latest GPLEA car graphics and the latest Watkins Glen updates. Yery easy to do. Just download the GPL 2004 demo here: http://www.gamershell.com/download_6101.shtml and install it. You can copy the Cars folder
from the demo install (typical C:\Program Files\GPL 2004 DEMO\cars\cars67) and paste them to your C:\Sierra\GPL\CARS folder.
Windows should ask you if you really want to override the files. Answer yes.
Copy Watkins Glen (typical C:\Program Files\GPL 2004 DEMO\tracks\watglen) and paste it to your C:\Sierra\GPL\Tracks directory.
Windows should ask you if you really want to override the files. Answer yes.

Now it's time to test GPL again. Start GPL and test Watkins Glen with your favorite car
Everything ok ?
Then start GPL once again and create a new player like Bernd Nowak65 and assign all your controlls/Graphic settings/sound&game play settings, quite GPL and restart with the new player.
Everthing ok with the new player ? Have you tested Watkins Glen and leaving the pits ?
OK.
Now that is quite a lot of work so why should you have done it for nothing in case something went wrong.
Just copy the gpl folder (should create a folder called 'Copy of GPL') and rename the copy to GPL67.


Now it's time for the 65mod.
Just to make sure that nothing can go wrong delete the directory C:\Program Files\GPLSecrets ! before proceeding

Download the FULL GEM+2/iGOR package - v1.1 (http://55and65.speedgeezers.com/gpl65/files/GPLS_1_1_Full.exe).
To be on the safe side extract the file manually with winrar (http://www.rarlabs.com/rar/wrar351.exe) and start the installation with the extracted setup.exe.
Accept the standard default settings. Before starting Gem+ or Igor download the latest version here http://55and65.speedgeezers.com/~tcmod/files/GPLS_0326.exe, extract it and start the installation with the extracted setup.exe.
Now we start Gem+.

Now you can update your 65 installation.

Lotus Car Update:

The 65_Lotus_33_Std_v2.0.exe should be easy to install. Just verify if it's the right path to your directory with the gpl.exe in it (in my case c:\sierra\gpl ).

Setups:

I use this setup collection Setups For The '65 Mod Cars
Download the file 65_setups310305.zip and extract it somewhere outside of my GPL installation. There's a self-extracting archiv in it. Just start it and let it extract where you are. This will give you a directory setups in that folder. Mark this directory and select copy from the explorer menu. Now navigate to your GPL 65 player in GPL (in my case c:\sierra\gpl\players\Nowak65__Bernd and select past. There'll be a warning that there's allready a folder called setups. Choose overwrite all.

Sounds:

There's this soundpack from the original version + Engine Sounds - v2.0. Just make a backup of your c:\sierra\gpl\sound files and then extract the files from 65_sounds_v2.zip to a temp directory. It consist of 7 wave files which you can exchange one by one or all and try.

That's it.

For online racing make sure that you check the igor.ini file:
It's located here: c:\program files\GPLSecrets\iGOR
