General FAQ around GPL

One thing which is important:

Everyone can join any of the 3 divisions: AM, EU and OZ. There are only limitations for the Average Division.

General:

Please use the ADC chatroom before/after the race. If you must use a password use the same one you use for gaining access when joining the server.

If involved in an accident try to wait for the others and maintain the position you had before if possible.

Everyone has a right to a fast lap

That means that if suddenly a fast driver is appearing in your mirror and you are on your fastest lap, there is no need or obligation to make way if he is on a flying lap. Sometimes it's not clear if he's on a flying lap, so try to do your usual driving.

Overtaking, being lapped

The safest and easiest way is for the person being lapped to just continue at his usual pace on his usual line and to not do any sudden lane-shifts etc., and lift off slightly on the next straight. No need to make way so much that you lose control of the car after being lapped.

T1 rule:

No overtaking and arse-ramming before T1. There are tracks where it will be announced if it is another corner.

First you need to download vroc
VROC

Vroc with Windows 2000/Windows XP:

Delete/rename the file C:\Program Files\VROC\WinVROC\riched20.dll

No racelist in Vroc:

C:\Program Files\VROC\WinVROC\vroc.ini
It should have the following lines:
[VROC]
Address=racelist.vroc.net

Igor

Regardless of the mods you have (plain GPL67/GPL65/GPL69/TC) please download the actual version here:
iGOR & GEM+
The latest version is included in the actual GEM+ packae which you can get there.

No racelist in Igor:

1) close igor if it's running
2) Open C:\Program Files\GPLSecrets\Igor\Igor.ini
3) change the line IP = maserati.blw.net to read IP = gplrank.info
4) close & save igor.ini
5) run igor.
